" A lot needs to be taken into consideration when looking at potential medical procedures or treatments. What doctor should you choose? What hospital? Do the benefits outweigh the risks? And, one of the most difficult- what are the costs involved?
Many such questions roll around in one’s mind when looking at such a decision. Throw in the question of “should I have my treatment overseas?” and a whole new dimension of doubt is introduced: Can the doctors there be trusted? Is the healthcare up to standard I’m used to? Is it safe?
As an American who recently received treatment at a hospital near New Delhi, India, I am here to report that the answer to all these questions is a resounding: YES! The time I spent at Max Hospital, Gurgaon was much like being in a 5-star hotel.
I would, in fact, unreservedly state that the care there far surpassed any I had ever received in the US. Unlike back home, when I rang the bell for a nurse, someone actually attended me within one or two minutes! Everyone always had a smile.
The doctors checked on me themselves several times a day and even provided me with their cell phone numbers and instructions to “call whenever you have any question or problems.” Every person I dealt with spoke English and showed the utmost decorum and politeness. The food was amazing! I couldn’t believe that I had my own dietitian visit daily to ask my requirements.
Then, there was the room. Nice and quiet with an extra bed for my husband. Two or three times a day, housekeeping came in to check if I needed water or for anything to be cleaned. I suppose, if I had wanted to, I could have eaten right off the floor. The experience was far beyond expectation and, though no one looks forward to going to the hospital, if I had to go again I would want to go nowhere else.
So, if you are considering medical tourism as an option for upcoming medical needs, I can highly recommend the hospitals you’ll be referred to by Medpath Group. I have firsthand knowledge of their procedures in choosing their providers. The needs of the patient are always primary and no detail is too small for them to consider in their endeavor to provide the very best.
If you’re teetering on the edge of deciding whether to take the risk to visit a foreign hospital, I wholeheartedly urge you to take the plunge and go for it! My experience – and that of many others – was exceptional!"
